Ill SUMMARY The Turkish "Hat" art which first appeard through Turk's accepting İslam as a new religion is the most important indicator to how writing can be a great tool as an art. Turkish hat artists improved this art in new dimensions which led to formation of new types. They worked carefully and patiently a great deal without ignoring the esthetic rules of it. They taught the same patience and care to their students by the help of which this branch of art is stil present in our time. In addition to the beauty of writtings many messages have been given to people. Many hat artists built their own styles as well. This education which was taught in "Medresetul Hattatin"in the past is now being taught in a limited number of universities and private courses. Many masterpieces which belong top ast lost as time passed and some of them were partially destroyed. For this reason, those which are pesent in our time need to be protected carefully. This ming only take place by realizing these pieces of studies are masterpices and that they all belong to us. With the recent Researches the development of the Turkish "Hat" art was examined in details and applied types of writings, the meterials twhich were used, properties of a good writing, Turks contribution to the education of this art, what king of method was chosen, biographies of farmous artists were all discussed With the help of, the examples of Hat education boks belonging to that era. Considering today's Hat Education studies we come by art faculties of universities mostly.IV Those universities are as follows: Gazi Universtiy, Atatürk Universtiy,Yuzüncü Yıl Universtiy,Marmara Universtiy, Sakarya Universtiy, Süleyman Demirel Universtiy, Selçuk Universtiy,Çanakkale 18 Mart Universtiy, Mimar Sinan Universtiy. In majority of these universities, "Hat" education is being given according to the chosen branch after second grade. Gazi University Proessional Education Faculty is the only department among these universities in which teacher certificates are being given. Because of this students who are obliged to know everythng related to Hat are given a different curriculum each term. Form this reason specialization in this field of work was not possible. After fully describing the research area, the Work of art which are found in Yozgat Etnografya Museum were introduced one by, one in observation forms which are prepared in catalog parts. 8 of total 19 studies were broughtfrom Ankara Etnografya Museum While 2 Studies Were Brought from Ankara Etnografya Museum, While 2 studies were brought from museums General Head Office. The musesum bought 5 of the studies 2. of them were found in the local area and 1 was given as a present. The creation date and the names of Hat artist of 10 studies were deterined. Sizes vary from 45x41 cm to 130x190. 12 of the art Works were applied on paper, 5 on underglass and 2 on cloth. Writing technigques which were used: 12 of them with Sülüs, 3 of them with Celi-Sülüss 1 of them with Talik, 1 of them with Müsenna-Talik, 1 of them with Kırma-Sülüs, 1 of them with kırma- Nesih. In decoration compositions mostly plant originated patterns were used which were followed by symbolic, geometric and meaningful patterns. Black color was montly used in writing and in decorations green, yellow, gilt, blue, white, red, dark red, grey, orange and turquaz colors were used. The study was finalized with "result" and "suggestions" parts.
