Abstract (EN)

Magnesite occurences at Hoyran Lake districted area sedimentary massivemagnesite and evaluated as Bela Stena type. The Mg, which is necessary forformation of magnesite, has been supplied by the alteration of ultramafics rocks andtransported to its formation of both by combination of surface and undergraundwater. The CO2 was produced by either by atmosphere or by anaerobic fermantationof lignite. Formation tempature of magnesite at Hoyran Lake ranges from 13 C to 42C. Magnesite was precipitated due to increament of Mg+2/Ca+2 ratio in the lakewater by the effect of CaCO3 precipitation. Mineral paragenesis is calcite (CaCO3),dolomite (CaMg(CO3)2), Mg-calcite ((CaMg)CO3), huntite (CaCO33MgCO3),magnesite (MgCO3). Chemical composition of Hoyran Lake water should have beenCa+2, Mg+2, CO3-2, HCO3- in Miocene. Isotope contets of Hoyran Lake magnesiteranges from 13C ‰-2.58 to +5.37 (PDB) for carbon isotope and ranges from 18O‰+20.19 to +30.04 for oxygene isotopes. REE contents are very low for themagnesites studied.KeyWords: Hoyran Lake, Magnesite, Huntite, Isotop Geochemistry, SedimentologyII
