A sociological research on the quota for women over the age of 34 in higher education

Women, who are among the disadvantaged groups, have not changed their disadvantaged position in the historical progress of societies since the existence of humanity. In the context of gender inequality and discrimination, women's participation in working life, benefiting from different opportunities and gaining different advantages did not make them more liberated or equal to men. It is very important for women, who play many roles in our society, to receive education and to know and implement their rights. The quota policy for women over the age of 34 in higher education in Turkey aims to support women's education and workforce, support women's career development and encourage women's leadership.
