Abstract (EN)

In the current study, the effect of in ovo administration of the starch based sugar on hatching performance, post hatch broiler growth performance, oxidative stress and fat metabolism were investigated. A total of 360 fertile eggs [(Ross 308; broiler breeders age 34 weeks; average weightg)] were divided into six groups: negative control (untouched), positive control (only puncture), 0.5 ml; 0.85% saline solution/egg), glucose, fructosesucrose (0.5 ml; 3% glucose, fructose or sucrose solution/egg). Experimental preparations were injected into eggs 17 day of incubation period. Results showed that the number of male chicks increased, serum total thiol, cholesterol, tryglycerid concentration positively improved by in ovo sugar or starch based sugar injection. However, weight of bursa fabricus, serum concentrations of total antioxidant status and myeloperoxsidase were decreased by sugar or starch based sugar groups than controls. The results obtained present study suggests that hatchability properties, antioxidative capacity and fat metabolism of broilers were affected by in ovo sugar or starch based sugar injection. Keywords: In ovo nutrition, glucose, fructose, sucrose, broiler, hatching performance, growing performance, oxidative stress, fattening
