The structure and theme in Yusuf Ziya Ortaç's works of novel and drama

The study "The Structure and Theme in Yusuf Ziya Ortaç's works of Novel and Drama" aims to research writer's life story, his sense of art, his novels and dramas. The study consists of three chapters. In the first chapter, some information about the life, the art and the works of writer has been given. Also, the turning points in his life, how his career of art began, changes and developments coming out in his sense of art have been cited. The second chapter is the longest and the most extensive part of the study. In this chapter, the writer's novels have been viewed under six major titles. Under the title "The Introduction of Novels" , background information about how writer's works of art came into existence and their publications have been given. The title "The Plot" has focused on the conflicts in the works of art and the master nodes. "The Themes" have been evaluated under two titles. "The Characters in the Novels" have been viewed in respect to their functions and type castings, and these have been grouped in themselves. In sections "Time", "Place" and "Point of View", each novel has been individually discussed and viewed. In third chapter, the writer's dramas have been discussed. Four of the plays have been changed into Turkish letters. While studying on these works of art, the methods applied in writer's novels have been applied again. In conclusion part, the findings obtained from the studies have been presented.
