Examining the leadership behavior of swimming coaches case of Istanbul

The aim of the study is to evaluate the leadership behaviors of swimming trainers in sports according to some selected variables. Research in this direction; Quantitative research was conducted by applying the causal comparison model, one of the general scanning models. The population of the study consisted of swimming trainers working actively in the city of Istanbul, and the sample of volunteer participants determined by simple random sampling method (n = 92). A personal information form and a sports leadership scale were applied to the participants as data collection tools. The obtained data was entered into the IBM SPSS24.0package program and analyzes were made through this program. As a statistical procedure, Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis-H Test analyzes were applied to test the hypotheses created in line with the research purpose As a result, it was determined that swimming coaches' general score and sub-dimensions of leadership behavior in sports are above average
