A comparative analysis of sunnah evidence in the Zaydi sect in terms of procedure and practice

In this study, the views of Zaydis about the proof of sunnah, which is the second of the proofs of the decrees, and their views on the validity of the proof of sunnah are discussed in the axis of Ibn al-Wazir's work al-Avâsım ve'l-kavâsım. By examining the trustee sources, the views of the Zaydis were examined. In addition, the attitudes of the Zaydis towards the evidence of sunnah have been tried to be summarized. The situation. of Zaydi sect in classical sources and today's Zaydis was compared. On the issues given as examples, the views of the Zaydi sect and the four sects were compared in terms of both theory and practice. This study consists of an introduction and three parts. In the introduction, the theoretical framework is emphasized. In addition, the life of Imam Zayd, the Zaydi sect, the figh schools of Zaydis, the life of Ibn al-Wazir and other Zaydi scholars are discussed. In the first chapter, Zaydis' attitudes towards the evidence of Sunnah and their methods of using it as evidence are examined. In the second and third chapters, examples of Zaydis use of Sunnah evidence as evidence in the issues of util al-fiqh are given. Thus, according to Zaydis, it has been tried to reveal how compatible the theoretical and practical aspects of Sunnah evidence are with each other.
