The life and personality of Zaynab Bint Ali

This study discusses Hz. Zaynab's life, personality, her role in the history of Islam and controversial issues about her life in the light of the various Islamic historical sources. In this study, the events that cause discussions and complex issues are tried to be clarified. The data on; from her birth to upbringing, educational life, her family and death are determined and revised. The events that she witnessed and influenced in the history of Islam, especially the Karbala case, are discussed. The extreme interpretations and epic narratives about Zaynab in the Shiite historical sources are determined. These informations are compared with the authentic historical data with the aim of reaching to the correct knowledge. Instead of `the legendary Zaynab` narrative created with the sectarian interests; the real Hz. Zaynab's qualifications are determined, and freed from fiction and excessive interpretations.
