Abstract (EN)

Bactrocera oleae (Rossi) (Diptera: Tephritidae) is an important pest causing serious losses in olive plants. Generally, this pest was controlled by using the chemical controls. However, due to the recent increases in population density and resistance development to currently used insecticides, biotechnical control appeared as the most important technique for fighting this pest. The study was carried out in two different olive orchards of the Sarıulak variety in Çavdarlı district in the Tarsus district of Mersin province in 2019-2020. In this study, it is aimed to determine the potential of different attractants and their mixtures to use B. oleae for mass capture. 10 different attractants were used in the study. Five of the most effective attractants were determined. Then, the success rates of their double and triple attractant mixtures were compared. Different lures were used, such as the McPhail type of trap. By looking at the effectiveness of the attractants of the study , the effective chemicals were CU / TZL-202 and also the CU / TZL-202 + 206 was caught the highest number of pests in two years in binary mixes. While in triple mixtures, chemicals numbered CU / TZL-202 + 204 + 205 were found to be effective in both years of the trial. In addition, four separate trap-lure mass captures used as authorized were investigated. Finally, the best mass capture for the trap-lure in the two years was Olipe trap.
