The experimental design of the study was multiple probe design with probeconditions across subjects. The study conducted with six students (three male, three female)with mental retardation.There were probe, instruction and maintenance sessions in the study. A singleoppurtunity format was used to determine the performence level of the subjects duringbaseline. All of the sessions were conducted individually and total task format was used forinstruction. Both inter-observer and procedural reliability data vere collected for the study.Result showed that simultaneous prompting was effective on teaching vocationalskill to students with mental retardation . There was also found that simultaneous promptingwas effective on maintaining the acquired skill over 1,3 ve 4 weeks after training.Key word: Simultaneous prompting procedure, vocational skill, Student with mentalretardation.
