Konsekutivdolmetschen und die notizentechnik - Die anwendung der notizentechnik in dem sprachenpaar Deutsch und Türkisch
In this thesis it is explained and shown through sample texts what note taking techniques are and how they need to be applied especially in the Turkish and German language pair. As it is not possible to learn the Turkish- German interpretation profession in Germany, the universities in Turkey are very important in delivering the education of the new generation in this field. The aim of this study is to develop a guide to note-taking techniques. The focus of the thesis is on the teaching and application of note-taking techniques in consecutive interpretation. In the introduction part of the thesis, after a historical perspective on the translation profession, expectations from the interpreter and professional requirements will be evaluated. Furthermore it will be explained how the interpreter who will take part in business life should be prepared professionally. In the second part of the thesis, theoretical approaches and basic principles regarding note taking in consecutive interpretation will be presented. In the main section, many examples will be shown so as to introduce the note-taking methods. The method will be introduced by applying note-taking techniques on speech texts in both languages in the tables in the last part of the thesis.
Türk ve Alman gençlik edebiyatında kültüre bağlı olarak yaşanan sorunların ipek ongun ve Alexa Hennig Von Lange'nin eserleri ışığında incelenmesi
This study examines the culture-bound problems experienced by young people in young adult fiction through a comparative cultural analysis of various different novels written by İpek Ongun in Turkish literature and novels written by Alexa Hennig von Lange in German literature. In this context, "Bir Genç Kızın Gizli Defteri", "Arkadaşlar Arasında", "Kendi Ayakları Üstünde", "Adım Adım Hayata", "İşte Hayat" and "Şimdi Düğün Zamanı" by İpek Ongun and "Ich habe einfach Glück", "Erste Liebe", "Leute, ich fühle mich leicht", "Leute mein Herz glüht", "Leute, die Liebe schockt" and "Leute, das Leben schockt" by Alexa Hennig von Lange have been examined. In this study, Geert Hofstede's Theory of Cultural Dimensions has been adapted into literature, and collective and society oriented behavior of the characters in the novels have been determined and classified. Focusing on different cultural dimensions which Hofstede's theory is based on including power distance (equality versus inequality), collectivism (versus individualism), masculinity (versus femininity), uncertainty avoidance (versus uncertainty tolerance), temporal orientation (long-term versus short-term orientation) and indulgence (versus restraint); references to these dimensions in the novels studied have been analyzed. In this context, studies on hermeneutics as the theoretical principle have been dealt with in the first part of the dissertation. The focus of the study is especially on Hans Georg Soeffner's Social-Scientific Hermeneutics, and the interpretation routines which add meaning to the daily routines of the characters in the novels in their social milieus, behavioral structures, rituals and symbols are being examined. In addition, it is tried to make the culture hidden behind the personal lives of the characters visible. Furthermore, the messages the authors are willing to convey have been determined through hermeneutics interpretation. Considering Max Weber's Theory of Behavior, culture-bound and collective behavior of the individuals are tried to be determined and in order to understand the period of adolescence, Societal Youth Research Method is used. The basis of this study is Geert Hofstede's Theory of Cultural Dimensions. Through determining and classifying the culture-bound behavior, reflections of the problems encountered during the period of adolescence on the Turkish and German literature are tried to be put forward and it is also examined whether the authors' aims are didactic or not via the respective works of the authors.
Türk ve Alman düğün gelenekleri ve davetiyeleri
Çalışmamızda, kültürden kültüre farklılık ve benzerlikler gösteren Türk ve Alman düğün gelenekleri ve her iki toplumun kültüründe önemli rol oynayan, kültürlerinden ve dilsel özelliklerinden önemli izler taşıyan düğün davetiyeleri incelenmiştir. Bütüncemizde bulunan düğün davetiyeleri 2000-2017 yıllarına ait yirmi beş Türkçe ve yirmi beş Almanca düğün davetiyesinden oluşmaktadır. Türk ve Alman toplumlarının kültürel çeşitlilikleriinin bir nebze de olsa sunulabilmesi için, davetiyeleri seçerken, davetiyelerin mümkün olduğunca farklı il, ilçe, köy, eyalete ait ve davetiyelerde mümkün olduğunca çok kültürel özelliğin olmasına özen gösterilmiştir. Yapılan metin dil bilimsel çözümlemede, düğün davetiye metinlerinde bulunan öğeler zorunlu ve seçimlik olmak üzere ikiye ayrılmış ve öğelerdeki özel değişkenler, öğelerin içerik, biçim ve biçem özellikleri ve iletişimsel işlevleri açıklanmıştır. Yapılan karşılaştırmalı çalışmamız sonucunda düğün gelenekleri ve davetiyelerinin, toplumların dinî inançları, değerleri, aile, arkadaşlık ve akrabalık algıları gibi pek çok konuda bilgi verdikleri görülmüştür.

Kafka'nın "Die Verwandlung" adlı öyküsünün ara dilden çeviri bağlamında değerlendirilmesi
Bu çalışmada "Ara Dilden Çeviri" olgusu konu edilmiş ve uygulamalı örnek düzleminde betimleyici bir yaklaşımla ara dilden çevirinin etkisi tartışmaya açılmıştır. Bu bağlamda Kafka'nın "Die Verwandlung" adlı öyküsünün Mehmet Harmancı tarafından aracı bir dil üzerinden yapıldığı düşünülen Türkçe çevirisi, kaynak metin olarak kullanıldığı belirlenen İngilizce çevirisi ve Kamuran Şipal tarafından yapılan doğrudan çeviri betimsel çeviri araştırmaları ışığında karşılaştırılarak incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla öncelikle çeviri süreci öncesi normların neler olduğu, bir başka ifadeyle ilgili çevirmenlerin çeviri anlayışlarını belirleyen norm ve kısıtlamalar, çeviri öncesi yapılan çalışmalar, çeviri stratejileri ortaya koyulmaya çalışılmıştır. İncelemede ilgili öyküyü Almancadan İngilizceye çeviren Willa ve Edwin Muir çiftinin çeviri kararlarının ara dil çevirmenini etkileyip etkilemediği ya da söz konusu çeviri kararlarının ara dil çevirmeninin işini mi güçleştirdiği yoksa metni çözümlemede fayda mı sağladığı sorgulanmıştır. Çeviri karşılaştırmaları sonucunda elde edilen veriler "Devingen Dil Kullanımı Bakımından Ara Dilden Çeviri", "Eklemeler" ve "Çıkarmalar" olmak üzere üç ana başlık altında çeşitli çeviri kuramlarından faydalanılarak çoğulcu bir yaklaşımla yorumlanmaya çalışılmıştır. Eser analizlerinde özellikle Gideon Toury tarafından geliştirilen "Betimleyici Çeviri Araştırmaları" yönteminden ve Eugene Albert Nida'nın "eşdeğer etki" kavramına dair görüşlerinden faydalanılmıştır.

Kültürlerarası bağlamda Yüksel Pazarkaya'nın eseri "Ben Aranıyor" ve çevirisi "Ich und die Rose" örneğinde özçeviri
Bi- or multilingualism is a common phenomenon due to increased migration and globalization. It is also possible to see the reflections of this situation in the field of literature. Many multilingual writers use their qualification to express themselves in their literary work. This bilingual writing allows many authors to translate their own literary works for different reasons. Yüksel Pazarkaya not only owes his special position in Contemporary German Literature to his bilingual work, but is also an exception because he works as a self-translator, and he is almost the only one among Turkish-German writers of Turkish origin who writes his work in two languages. This study provides an overview of how Pazarkaya utilizes the translation process as a self-translator. On the basis of first published "Ben Aranıyor" and its translation "Ich und die Rose", it aims to reveal what privileges self-translators have in contrast to conventional translators. The results of the analysis show that Pazarkaya used the self-translation process to improve his work and continued to write the German version in that process.
Das walbaby" von Yüksel Pazarkaya übersetzung oder eine neufassung? -eine übersetzungswissenschaftliche auseinandersetzung
Bei der vorliegenden Arbeit handelt es sich um eine komparative Analyse des Kinderbuchs Balina'nın Bebeği in Deutsch Wal-Baby, welches von Yüksel Pazarkaya geschrieben und ins Deutsche selbst übersetzt wurde. Im ersten Teil dieser Arbeit wird ein Einblick in die Geschichte der Übersetzung geliefert und einige für die Selbstübersetzung relevante Übersetzungstheorien gegliedert. Anschließend wurden die Selbstübersetzungstheorien beschrieben. Um das Thema besser zu veranschaulichen, wurden Beispiele über die Erfahrungen einiger wichtiger Autoren, die als Selbstübersetzer tätig sind, beschrieben. Um die Grundlage der Analyse zu bilden, wurden Beispiele aus dem Werk Balina'nın Bebeği, welches aus dem Türkischen ins Deutsche übersetzt wurde, selektiert. Insgesamt wurden für die Analyse 37 Beispiele ausgewählt. Anschließend wurden die Beispiele auf ihre Übersetzungsmethoden und Verfahren untersucht. Für diese Untersuchung wurden die Übersetzungsmethoden, von L. Venuti verwendet. Hierbei wurde eine Unterteilung der einzelnen Beispiele nach der domestizierenden und der verfremdenden Übersetzungsmethode durchgeführt. Dem Ergebnis dieser Unterteilung zufolge, sind Zweiunddreißig der analysierten Beispiele mit der domestizierenden Übersetzungsmethode und nur Fünf mit der verfremdenden Methode übertragen worden. Bei der Analyse der Übersetzungsverfahren, die Pazarkaya angewandt hat, liegt der Schwerpunkt, auf den Verfahren, die seinen ZT der Zielkultur anpassen, wie z. B. die Adaptation. Somit lässt sich erschließen, dass Pazarkaya bei seiner Selbstübersetzung die Zielkultur in den Vordergrund stellt, hat.
