Examination of the relationship between maternal sensitivity and self-efficiency and childhood psychological trauma in women with children between 1-3 years old

In this study, the relationship between childhood traumas and maternal sensitivity and self- efficacy of women with 1-3 years old children and also, the whether there is a diffrence according to some independent variables were also discussed within the scope of this study. The research group consists of 550 volunteer mothers who have children aged 1-3 and can fill in the data collection tools in the digital environment. In this study, the Mother-Baby Information Form developed for this research, Parental Child Containing Function Scale, Self Efficacy for Parenting Task Index Toddler Scale, the Childhood Traumas Questionnaire, Adverse Childhood Events were used as data collection tools. According to the research findings, there was a weak correlation between maternal sensitivity and self-efficacy and childhood psychological traumas. While there was no difference according to age in both dependent varriables, a difference was observed in mothers' self-efficacy according to adverse childhood experience (ACE), receiving support in baby care, mothers' perceptions of the house they grew up in, and their perceptions of love from mothers, which are the other independent variables of research. According to the frequency of mothers repeating the aspects of their mothers that they find chaotic, there was a difference in both mothers' sensitivities and self- efficacy.
