Abstract (EN)

Life consists of a set of fun exercises based on improving kinetic, mental capacity and mobility. Life kinetic training effectively trains the brain to learn and applies challenging and complex movements and is therefore known as an exercise method that helps create new connections in our brain. The purpose of this research is to examine the effects of life kinetic exercises on motor and cognitive skills in tennis. The universe of the study consists of tennis players in the Adana province, sample a total of 44 tennis athlete who participated actively in the contest in the range of 10-14 years female 19 (%43,1) aged x = 11,63 ± 1,16 years and men 25 (%56,8) age x = 11,68 ± 1,21 years. Tennis athletes are randomly selected and voluntarily enrolled to participate in our research, have received permission from their families, to participate in competitions were between ages of 10 and 14. After those athletes were randomly divided into two groups as the life kinetic study group (n = 23 people) and the control group (n = 21 people), the exercise group was applied 3 days a week and 90 minutes of life kinetic exercises for 12 weeks before tennis training. Control group did not receice any additional training other than regular tennis practice. Measurement tools used in research were Personal information form, Emotiv Epoc + plus, Emotiv Epoc + bcı, Y dynamic balance test, Blazepood reaction test, Skill Coordination, Fine Motor Coordination, Hand-Eye Coordination, D2 attention, T-Test (Agility), Illionis Agility Test (Agility) , Standing Long Jump Test (Horizontal Jump), Vertical Jump Test, and 20 Meter speed tests. The first measurement values were taken in the performance measurement laboratory of the Çukurova University Faculty of Sport Sciences. At the end of the 12-week exercise protocol, all tests taken in the first measurement were repeated in the last measurement. Statistical evaluation of the data was made using SPSS 21.0. Whether the distribution of the data was normal or not was done by Shapiro-Wilk test and it was observed that the results showed a normal distribution. While evaluating the study data, descriptive statistics were used to compare the age, height, body weight, weekly training day, weekly training hour of the athletes, and percentage, frequency and average values were taken. Paired Sample T Test was used to determine the changes within the pre-test and post-test measurements, and the Independent Sample T Test was used to evaluate the variables of intergroup pre-test and post-test measurements. Results were at 95% confidence interval, values of p <0.05 and below were considered statistically significant. As a result of the study, it was observed that life kinetic exercises, which were planned for 3 months (12 weeks), positively affected the development of motor and cognitive skills in tennis athletes.
