Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of Interval, MAS (Maximum Aerobic Speed) and SSG (Small side game) training methods applied to 12-14 age group football players on MaxVO2 (Maximum Oxygen Consumption Capacity). 32 children who are playing football in the infrastructure of a football club voluntarily participated in the research. The control group consisted of 16 football players whose average age were 12.63 ± 0.71 years, height 150 ± 8.94 cm and body weight 40.51 ± 10.48 kg. The experimental group consisted of 16 football players with an age of 13.25 ± 0.68 years, a height of 154.31 ± 8.06 cm and a body weight of 49.18 ± 14 kg. Only pretest-posttest measurements of the control group were taken and no additional training was applied to their own training. The experimental group, on the other hand, was trained 2 days a week, in addition to their own training, for 30 minutes and regularly for 6 weeks. After the pretest and measurements, experimental group divided into 3 groups (MAS, SSG and Interval) and different training methods were applied. Before the training, 30-15 IFT and Shuttle Run tests were applied to the athletes in the control and experimental groups, together with anthropometric measurements. As a result of all measurements, statistical calculations were analyzed in IBM SPSS Statistics 26.0 version program and presented with findings. At the end of the six-week study period, there was a significant difference between the Shuttle Run pretest-posttest values in the MAS, SSG and Interval groups (p<0.05), but no significant difference was found in the control group. When the 30-15 IFT pretest-posttest values were examined, no significant difference was found in the MAS, SSG, Interval and control groups. As a result, it has been determined that MAS, SSG and Interval training methods, which are applied regularly for 6 weeks, 2 days a week, increase the MaxVO2 level in 12-14 age group football players.
