Abstract (EN)

The study aims to analyze the association between historical unpredictability and the tendency for using substances in people aged 18 to 30. A relevant association between an individual's unpredictibility in their upbringing and their proclivity for using substances may have a strong relationship. The study employed the retrospective familial unpredictability scale, the drug use tendency scale, and the researcher's Sociodemographic Information Form. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 comprise the study population. Through online methods, measuring techniques were used for persons between 18 and 30. The scale questionnaires were completed by 520 people, 300 (57.7%) of whom were women and 220 (42.3%) were males. The analysis of the data obtained through the scales used in the research was made using the SPSS program. According to the results, there is a notable positive association between historical familial unpredictability and the tendency to use substances. Considering the findings, it was concluded that there is a significant positive relationship between retrospective family unpredictability and substance use tendency.
