A study on the economic crises that emerged in Turkey after 1990 and the effects of the crises on poverty and proposed solutions

In the study, firstly the conceptual expressions related to the economic crises are given and respectively; the definition, content, history and types of the economic crises, crisis models, the causes of the crises, the emergence of the crisis and their characteristics are described. The Economic crisis affected not only the Turkish economy but also has influenced the world economy. Accordingly, in the study, the economic crises that emerged in the world are also included. Next, the economic crisis that emerged in Turkey after 1990 is described in detail. When referring to the crises in Turkey, the first economic crisis ''1929 crisis'' is also mentioned. Of the world economic crises, the Indonesian economic crisis is more similor to the economic crisis instances emerged in Turkey in 2000-2001 in social and economic terms and the poverty prevention policies of this crisis give more succesful and realistic results. In line with this, the Indonesian economic crisis is mentioned in the study to illustrate the relationship between the economic crises and poverty. In addition to the relationship of poverty to the 2000-2001 economic crisis in Turkey, the relationship between poverty and the last global 2008 crisis is also mentioned. Among Turkey's unending problems; high inflation, current account deficit, low growth rate and unemployment rate are located. In the case of the emergence of the economic crisis, these problems become even more serius. Appopriate measures to the economic crises and especially the problem of unemployment ( poverty ) must be taken in order to reduce these problems. In this direction, the study finally mentions the solution for the economic crises and poverty and firstly stabilization policies that are the solution for the economic crises are described. Besides the views of some economists and authors on this subject, my personal thoughts are also discussed and the study is completed.
