Book of Hadariye No. 2 (p.52-100) transcription, evaluation and text (H.1081-1097/M.1670-1686)

In the Hadariye Book No. 2 in the Ottoman Archives, p. the provisions between 52-100 and covering the events between 1670-1686 constitute the subject of the thesis. It is understood that this book, which was originally a duvel-i ecnebiyye book, was mixed with the hadariye books during the archive classification. In this regard, the aforementioned book should be the one that comes after the book numbered 15/3 from the series of duvel-i ecnebiyye books in chronological order. This book, which contains documents such as edicts, berats and ahidnâme on a wide range of issues related to the political, legal, diplomatic, socio-economic and religious issues of Ottoman-Dubrovnik relations, is 358 pages in total. h. 1062 / m. 1651 with h. 1193 / m. it contains a very wide time period of 129 years between 1780. The date range covered by the thesis is about is the IV Mehmed on the throne in the Ottoman Empire, and Merzifonlu Kara Mustafa Pasha were in sadarette. In addition, the Ottoman army in 1683 II. It also covers the three years after its defeat at the Siege of Vienna. In this time frame, there are many developments that took place within the macro and micro level relations between the Ottoman Empire and the Dubrovnik Republic. The Republic of Dubrovnik, which was in the category of darü'l-ahd / darü's-sulh in Ottoman foreign relations and had a tributary status, was in an extremely privileged position thanks to the privileges it received from the Ottoman Empire through ahidnames. The citizens of the republic were trading freely in the Ottoman Balkans by taking advantage of these privileges. But this trade has not always operated smoothly. Problems caused by both Ottoman provincial administrators and officials, as well as local residents, were causing Dubrovnik residents headaches many times, and complaints about them were submitted to the Ottoman capital by Dubrovnik ambassadors. As a result, edicts were sent from the Ottoman government to the ahl-i örf taifa for the solution of problems. The thesis is built on the provisions in the mentioned book between the years 1670-1686, in which such subjects are predominant. In the "Introduction" section, studies published in Turkey about Ottoman-Dubrovnik relations are introduced. In addition, in the first part of the thesis, which was prepared in three parts, the history of Ottoman-Dubrovnik relations was mentioned. In the second part, the relevant provisions were evaluated in the light of the political, social and economic developments of the period. The third section contains summaries and transcriptions of the provisions. In the annexes section, the original images of the provisions are shared.
