Abstract (EN)
This study addresses how people's lives have changed under COVID-19 pandemic along with the pandemic's effects on cultural expression and the recent shift towards digitalart. Precautions taken during the COVID-19 pandemic have had serious effects on art and culture as well as all aspects of social life. In the 21st century, it has given us an opportunity to redefine art, artists, and audiences, and observe the positive and negative potential of digital art. Precautions taken to reduce the negative effects of the pandemic forced people to spend more time at home. This has led people to create alternative spaces to continue producing art and culture. This new normal helped generate a different perspective on the art market and culture. As a result of NFT and virtual platform products, which have long been in existence, cryptocurrency usage has become more active in the COVID-19 period and has caused serious changes in art and art purchasing. These partnerships established by art markets and virtual platforms have created opportunities to redefine artists, the environment, audiences and art patrons. These artistic breakthroughs and innovations achieved during the COVID-19 pandemic have further incentivized the development of digital art. COVID-19 precautions, mandatory medical measures, and limits on social gatherings have increased the use of technology and technological platforms to the fullest extent possible, and accelerated the transfer of spaces to media extensions using code, digital images, and photographs.
