Child abuse is a multidiciplined subject that has to evaluated from a wide perspective. Child abuse can be perceived differently in societies and cultures. This concept is in direct relation with the value given to human. Child abuse is exposure to an adult's inappropriate behaviour for a certain amount of time. These inappropriate bahaviours can be classified as damaging behaviours that break a child's pychological and physical unity. Child abuse not only includes a child's physical, emotional, sexual and economic use but also includes neglect of the child as well. Alcohol and substance abuse is an important Notion of child abuse and assault. Previous research determined that child abuse is related to substance abuse.
