Political, administrative, military, financial, embarrassment, law, social affairs which were negotiated and reconciled in divan-ı hümayun (Supreme Court in Ottoman Empire) in the Ottoman Empire and passed by the approval of the Sultan; the complaints and the cases where the cases were discussed and recorded were called "Muhimme Books". "Muhimme Books" which bear the document quality is the most important source in terms of the subjects included information about the central and provincial organization of the Ottoman Empire between 16th and 18th centuries. In addition to this, it is possible to have information about many important issues about the legal legislation that takes place among the people and the ways and methods that are followed in the affairs, the systems of confers, revocations, enfeoff (manor and fee) systems, key points about the history of the war, the navigation and the backdrop of the war, activities at the borders, cultural and social structure of the towns and scientific activities.
