The anxiety level variables between married males and single males aged 25-40 years have to be analysed

Anxiety is one of the emotional states that can effect each and every person positively or negatively. While moderate anxiety level is essential in situations like motivation, decision making, reaching one's goal, high anxiety levels can effect a person's ability to commmunicate, think and take action in a negative way. There are many reasons to be anxious about the developing and changing world. These reasons are common in most of the people. This study focuses on the factors that may lead people into anxiety. The purpose of this current study is to determine the relationship between levels of anxiety in males and variables like marital status, having a child, having a working wife, education levels and income levels. The study sample includes 100 single males and 100 married males which make a total of 200 participants. Demographic variables of the participants were obtained by collecting personal information through a questionnaire developed by the researcher. Anxiety levels of the participants were measured by "Continuity Anxiety Scale" and "Situational Anxiety Scale".The study was conducted among males with age range of 25-40 years in both the Asian and the European part of Istanbul. This study was designed as a "survey model". The data was analized using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) Windows 21.0 program. To compare the quantitative data between two groups Mann Whitney-U test was used and tocompare between group parametres for moret han two groups Kruskal Wallis H-Test and Anova Test wer eused. Results of the study show us that married males rated much higher than single males in means of both status and frequent anxiety scale ratings. When we examine the other data from the study, we see that the relation between having a child, having a working wife and income levels and the status and frequent anxiety was not significant, but there was significance between the education levels and frequent anxiety.
