Abstract (EN)

Part - Time work is a flexible way of working that has emerged with the continuous development of industrial life especially with the phenomenon of globalization after the industrialization process and has become more applicable in the working life. Part-time work, which is considered as one of the flexible types of work in the production structure, is of great importance especially for female workers to find a place in the working life. On the other hand, part-time work, which entered our national legislation with the Labor Law No. 4857 in 2003, has taken place in our country as a form of work practiced in work life, although it does not have a legal infrastructure before this law. Although our legislation includes regulations on part-time work, it is discussed in the doctrine and the judiciary as a constantly evolving and changing concept whose boundaries cannot be fully drawn within the framework of its flexible structure and unique structure. In this study, a doctrinal introduction is made within the framework of the historical development of the part-time work as well as its descriptive and practical features, and in the second part, our opinions and suggestions are examined in accordance with the Labor Law No. 4857 in terms of our national legislation. In the third part, the social security dimension, which we think is neglected in terms of part-time work type, has been examined in terms of Social Insurance and General Health Insurance Law no. 5510.
