Abstract (EN)

It is extremely significant to recognize and introduce the scholars who represent their country both at home and abroad and who have made a name for themselves with their works, in order to set an example for others. As in every country, valuable personalities have been raised in Turkey and the generations raised by these personalities continue to exist. When we look at the field of history of religions, Hikmet Tanyu, who won the title of the first Turkish historian of religions, has a great role in bringing the field of history of religions to its current position. Many important academicians have grown up under his supervision and one of them is Abdurrahman Küçük, who is the subject of this study. Abdurrahman Küçük, as a living heir of the Hikmet Tanyu School in the History of Religions in Turkey, has an important factor in the institutionalization of the Historiography of Religions and the History of Religions in Turkey. The lack of a study on Abdurrahman Küçük's Historiography of Religions and his understanding of science has been seen as a deficiency by us. The main purpose that led us to this study is to introduce the life and works of such a valuable scientist, what kind of contributions he has made to the History of Religions in the context of his thoughts and the Science of the History of Religions in Turkey to future generations in a correct way and to be as useful as we can from his works. In this thesis, which was carried out with a qualitative study, interview and content analysis methods were used together with literature study.
