Examination of Adalet Agaoglu's stories according to Algirdas Julien Greimas's action model

The semiotic analysis method was typified by Algirdas Julien Griemas. This analysis method has been widely used in recent years. The semiotic analysis method is a text-centered analysis method. While analyzing a literary text with the semiotic analysis method, issues such as the author, the author's life, worldview, ideology, the period in which the text was created, and the environment are excluded from the analysis. The analysis is made by making the text to be analyzed as the object of the semiotic analysis method. Semiotic analysis method is an analysis based on linguistic indicators in the text. The semiotic analysis method is a systematic analysis. The actions to be taken during the resolution are predetermined. The semiotic analysis method consists of two main parts, the surface level and the deep level. Surface level analysis is divided into two as narrative and discursive level. In these sections; sectioning, actors, narrative program, modalities, actor, space and time analysis are made. In deep level analysis; logical-semantic and semiotic quadrilateral analyzes are made. This method of analysis, which proceeds systematically, focuses entirely on the text, leaving out the subjectivity of the person who will analyze it. All these features distinguish it from other analysis methods. In our study, we will analyze all of Adalet Ağaoğlu's stories according to Griemas' Acting Model (semiotic analysis method). As it is known, the stories are divided into sections such as event story, situation story and short story. All three story types have their own structural and fictional differences. In our study, by analyzing all of Ağaoğlu's stories, we have done both a particular and a universal analysis and presented the application of the semiotic analysis method to the event and situation stories. Justice Ağaoğlu has a total of four story books, namely Yüksek Gerilim, Sessizliğin İlk Sesi, Haydi Gidelim and Hayatı Savunma Biçimleri. There are 38 stories in total in these story books. In the short stories Hüzzam Mavisi and Asri Zamanlar Kilimi, these stories could not be analyzed because the actors did not form, all of the other 36 stories were analyzed by semiotic method. As a result, Ağaoğlu's literary identity in the stories, story editing techniques, the basic messages he sent to the reader were revealed and findings on the semiotic analysis method were obtained. Semiotic analysis method; It enabled Ağaoğlu's stories to be viewed from a holistic perspective. In Ağaoğlu's story editing technique, it has been seen that a special importance is attached to each element that makes up the story. The semiotic analysis method has enabled Ağaoğlu's stories to be looked at both particular and universally, thus revealing his literary identity in the stories. Ağaoğlu's non-self-centered extrovert; prioritizing social problems; opposing all kinds of exploitation systems and antidemocratic governments; taking care of the marginalized person; It has been seen that he is a writer who can criticize every wrong without making ideological distinctions. The semiotic analysis method is applied to the story type stories without any problems; limited cast of situational stories; it has been determined that there are application difficulties due to the lack of a plot that progresses in the format of laying, node ana solution. Today, postmodern narration techniques are frequently used in narrative texts. Flashback, which is included in these narrative techniques, is frequently used. In such stories, it has been determined that the sectioning process, which is one of the analysis stages of the semiotic analysis method, cannot be used functionally.
