Abstract (EN)
Our study was planned to investigate the effectiveness of posture exercise training and shoulder retraction orthosis in kyphosis. 30 adolescent individuals with postural ciphosis, ages 13-16, participated in the study. Individuals were divided into 2 groups: exercise (N=15), (mean age 13.73±0.46 year and mean height 162.40±5,62 cm) and corset (n=15), (mean age 13.73±0.46 year and mean height 159.80±4.31 cm) by random controlled study method. The exercise group was given posture training which will last 15-20 minutes every day of the week for 8 weeks and will be accompanied by a physiotherapist one day a week and other days at home, which includes spinal extensor strengthening, scapular retraction, scapular stabilization, stretching to pectoralis muscles. The set and repeat number of exercises were increased as the weeks progressed. The corset group, which uses shoulder retraction orthosis, was asked to wear the corset for at least 8 hours a day each day of the week for 8 weeks. Indirect measurement of the degree of kyphosis of all individuals before and after treatment was evaluated with flexrulerla, anteriorly tilty of the head, tragus wall distance, protraction of the shoulders with the distance between the inferioru of the two scapulans. Before and after the treatment groups were compared in themselves, it was observed in both groups that there was improvement in the indirect measurement of kyphosis degree, the protraction of the shoulders and the anterior tilt of the head (p<0.05). When the groups were compared with each other, the indirect measurement of the grade of kyphosis in both groups, the inferior Inter-measurement of the two scapulans and the tragus wall distance were similar (p>0.05). As a result of the study, postural kyphosis seen in adolescent girls, posture exercise training and shoulder retraction orthosis, postural kyphosis, anterior tiltine of the head and shoulder protraction were reduced with similar effects. In physiotherapy and rehabilitation applications, posture training can be considered as acute for individuals who cannot take time to exercise during the adolescent period due to the effects of spinal extensor muscle strengthening, scapular retraction, scapular stabilization, stretching exercises to pectoralis novices, orthosis application, do not wish to do, where exercise is contraindicated or who cannot go to regular clinics. Key words: adolescent, kyphosis, posture exercise, shoulder retraction harnesi
