Abstract (EN)

It is known that today's body and soul are a whole. It is a holistic structure, equipped with options for all social tastes and detailed equipment. It contains all the information about physical structure and internal structure. In anorexia nervosa and orthorexia nervosa, treatment should be done with a multidimensional approach . The targeted outcome of this research is the examination of eating attitudes and the course of body cathexis according to adolescents. This study, which was carried out to determine the risks of anorexia and orthorexia nervosa, was carried out with 100 female participants aged 11-18 living in various cities in Turkey. Individuals' income status, education level, eating attitudes and body cathexis were measured with certain scales, and their eating attitudes and AN and ON risks were evaluated with the SPSS 26.0 program. The mean age of the individuals participating in the study was 15.39, and the mean BMI values were found to be 20.71 kg/m2. The mean ORTO-15 scale score of the participants was found to be 33.17 ± 7.46 (range 18.00-51.00). ORTO-15 scale results were found to be significant according to the eating disorder variable. Scale scores of anorexic and orthorexic individuals were lower than the healthy control group. According to the results of the participants evaluated with the body cathexis scale, the satisfaction of individuals with AN was found to be low in terms of body cathexis. In addition, the body cathexis scale scores of orthorexic individuals were found to be lower than the control group. The average value obtained in the Eating Attitude Test- 26, which is another scale answered by the participants, was determined as 41.41±15.60. The results of individuals with AN or ON were found to be higher than those without eating disorders.
