Abstract (EN)

Disasters are events that create many negative effects on human life and affect societies with loss of property and/or life. After the disaster, it is of great importance to meet the basic needs of the disaster victims, especially the need for shelter. After the disaster, the need for shelter is first tried to be met with tents and derivatives. Since tents are directly affected by environmental and weather conditions, transition to temporary residences should be made. By providing a safe and home environment to the disaster victims, it is ensured that they get through the recovery process with the least amount of problems until they can be accommodated in permanent residences. From past to present, many temporary disaster houses have been designed and some of them have been implemented. Temporary housing design should be made by considering different geographical and environmental factors and should be producible. The design should protect the disaster victims from external influences, be durable and meet their basic requirements. In this study: disaster management stages, studies to be carried out in management stages and housing problems in this process were examined. Temporary housing models designed in accordance with the standards set by international organizations were discussed; post-disaster temporary shelter model has been proposed. This model has the advantages of being built with traditional on-site production principles and being produced with current technology. It is also designed to meet the need for security and privacy, and to minimize transportation and stocking costs.
