According to Ahenk Newspaper social and economic life of Aydın and its districts in II. Constitutional Period (1908)

Ahenk Newspaper had a very important place in the İzmir press in the last years of Ottoman Empire. This newspaper is not only specific to İzmir, but it also has a feature that appeals to all of Western Anatolia. For this reason, Ahenk Newspaper was deemed appropriate when researching Aydın and its districts. In this study we considered, firstly in the "Introduction" part the foundation and development of Ahenk Newspaper, historical process of Aydın and before getting into the thesis topic general situation of Aydın within the year 1908 are discussed. This study, which we conducted based on Ahenk Newspaper in İzmir, includes all the news about social, political, economic, commercial, public order, natural disasters, public works and education in Aydın and its districts. All the news about Aydın and its districts are compiled by subdividing into topics and this study has emerged as a whole. In this study it has been tried to reveal how and in what way the issues related to Aydın and its districts were covered in the press in 1908.
