Context index and functional dictionary of the Ahî Divani

In order to understand classical poetry products, many studies such as text commentary, analysis, dictionary are carried out. In this context, dictionary studies continue from the past to the present by constantly adding new ones. We see that contextual index and functional dictionary studies take up a lot of space, especially around Classical literature texts that have been made recently. These dictionaries, created through the system called TEBDİZ (Turkish Literature Contextual Index and Functional Dictionary Project), offer the reader the opportunity to see with examples how words can differ in context and to what extent they can change, rather than being a classic dictionary that only gives the meanings of words with its contextual index. In addition to these, it also helps to reveal the poet's vocabulary and savings, his imagination and how he performs his art with more concrete data. In addition, it makes it easier to make inferences about the language characteristics, customs, traditions and beliefs of the period in which the poet lived. In this study, the contextual index and functional dictionary of the divan of the Rumelian poet Âhî, one of the leading names of the 16th century -over the TEBDİZ system- was created. The poet has a Divan, Hüsrev ü Şîrîn masnavi that he left unfinished, and Hüsn ü Dil masnavi, which was left unfinished due to his death. We think that this and similar studies, which we think reveal the functionality of the language and the temperament of the poet, can contribute to both researchers and enthusiasts in the field of Classical Turkish poetry.
