Abstract (EN)
Alternative Dispute Resolutions are preferred in solving legal disputes for different reasons. These methods can not be considered as a product of modern legal order. As known, methods that are similar to alternative dispute resolutions implemented in the past. Nowadays many legal system trying to expand the application methods. Alternative dispute resolution methods are applicable to family law. In Turkish Law there is not a specific mediation regulation for family law disputes. However 6325 numbered Code of Mediation in Legal Disputes, which regulates general principles of mediation, there is a discussion for convenience to family law disputes. In this regard, there has to be an evaluation of convenience for mediation on family law disputes in view of Code of Mediation in Legal Disputes and Turkish Civil Code.
