The importance of institutionalization in family companies and the effect on the company performance: A field study related to the perception of workers

Considering the place, value, contribution and amount of family companies in the economy, it is seen that they have an important place in the national economies. These companies are the majority of our country and the world. However, when the life curve of these companies is examined, it is seen that their life span is not very long and that a significant part of them has disappeared in the first generation and second generations. The most important reason for this research in the structure of a good organizational structure and a systematic management understanding of the lack of institutionalization was seen. In the first part, the concept of family business, the reasons of the family businesses, their characteristics, the place and place in our country and world economies, the stages of establishment and development, the advantages and weaknesses of the family businesses, the subject of institutionalization in family businesses, the principles of institutionalization, the level of institutionalization, the advantages and drawbacks of institutionalization are emphasized. In the second part, the importance of the research, the aim, the evaluation of the collected data about the study, the analysis and the conclusions and recommendations about the subject were discussed. Within the scope of the study, it has been investigated how much family enterprises operating in the province of Bursa care about the forms of institutionalization and how institutionalization provides an increase in the performance of the enterprise. Within the scope of the study, in the theoretical part, v firstly after the subject of institutionalization and after the literature about the main problems of the family companies, the materials related to the study were tried to be obtained. Questionnaires (surveys) for the founding entrepreneurs and employees of family businesses were used as data collection tools for collecting research data. Based on all these facts, a questionnaire evaluation was carried out in 112 different family companies regarding institutionalization which is vital for family companies. The work carried out has been limited as family businesses operating in the province of Bursa. The work carried out was intended to be applied to 130 family businesses in total, but a positive return could be obtained from 112 of them. Although the answers were received from 524 participants, 495 of the answers were analyzed and analyzed with the help of SPSS package program. The questionnaire form applied to the participants consisted of 23 main questions. The first 5 questions of these 23 questions are demographic questions reflecting the structure of the participants and the company they worked with. The remaining 18 questions included questions to measure the effects of family businesses on the performance of institutionalized family enterprises, which were designed to identify the process they followed in the process of institutionalization of the family companies. As a result, in our survey study and the studies conducted previously related to the subject, it is evident that the family companies are able to survive in the competitive markets of the globalized world ecnomes, to reach new market shares, and the institutionalization concept of the companies being the longest lasting. In the direction of institutionalization is an inevitable process in family companies, in order to carry out this process in the enterprises that enter the growth trend, the institutionalization should be implemented with absolute durability. the level of management of the company It is concluded that the nepotism that may occur in the company can be prevented and that the employees feel safer and that there will be a positive increase in the performance of the employees and therefore the performance of the company.
