Aksaray Kızılkaya historical buildings

This study deals with the historical structures of Kızılkaya village, which is connected to Gülağaç district of Aksaray province in the Central Anatolia Region. In the study, primarily archive and literature search was carried out in order to determine the historical structures existing in Kızılkaya village of Gülağaç district of Aksaray province. Afterwards, field work was carried out and a total of thirty houses, one of which was a village room, a mosque, five cisterns, four fountains, a bridge, a mill, a total of four rock-carved places, five tombstones and a shop were carried out in the village. Six structures were identified and studied. Within the scope of this field study, all historical buildings examined in the village were photographed, their measurements were taken in the relevant buildings, and sketches and plan drawings were made accordingly. The study consists of five main parts. In the first chapter, under the title of 'Introduction', 'Definition, Purpose, Importance and Limits of the Subject', 'Resources Related to the Subject' and 'Method' are explained in a certain order. In the second part, 'History of Kızılkaya', whose historical structures were researched, identified and examined, was discussed from a wide framework. In the third chapter, the historical buildings examined under the catalog title are classified according to their types. The building types are arranged in chronological order among themselves. After the architectural structures are classified in the form of catalog number, photograph number, drawing number in this section, the location of the building, general description, material and technique, plan and plan elements, ornamental features, dating and the current state of the building are explained. In the fourth chapter, under the title of 'Evaluation', the buildings were examined according to their features such as materials and techniques, plan types, plan elements, building elements, facades, ornamentation and dating. In the fifth chapter, under the title of 'conclusion', the importance of Turkish art history and architecture has been emphasized with the findings in the evaluation part of the historical buildings in Aksaray Kızılkaya in a way that will shed light on the academic, scientific and tourism studies to be made from now on.
