The concept of Albert Einstein on god and religion

The aim of this study which has been done on Albert Einstein who is one of the most important theoretical physicists of the 20th century is to determine of which of the God imaginations that occur within the framework of the God-universe is clause to his concept with comprehensively exaimining Einstein's conception of religion and God. In this sense the scientific foundations of Einstein's ideas about physics and beyond which shaped his outlook on life has been given. Finally, his understanding of God was determined and presented his approach to religion which is isolated from it. While giving his views on religion, his thoughts about the relation between science and religion are included. However, as a Jew, the reasons for the inclusion of Einstein in the Zionism movement and his ideas about the concepts of religious literature such as free will, morality, miracle, prophecy and the hereafter in relation to his religious views have been examined under different headings. In the course of the study, the shortcomings of Einstein's intellectual development were briefly discussed and his scientific and philosophical views were utilized simultaneously. With taken as a basis of his own studies, speeches and letters, secondary sources were also utilized. Although mostly descriptive methods are used, the ambiguous points that are related to the subject are tried to be clarified by way of interpretation of the obtained data. As a result of the study, although Einstein's idea of God could not be placed directly under any of the God imaginations known in terms of the relationship of God-universe, it was detected which one from the theism, deism, pantheism and panentheism was similar to his God's concepts.
