Treatment motivation and examination of memory functions in individuals who receive alcohol use disorder

The aim of this study is to examine treatment motivation and memory functions in individuals diagnosed with alcohol use disorder. The universe of the research consists of a total of 80 people, including 40 diagnosed groups and 40 healthy groups, in accordance with the Criteria for DSM-V diagnostics. The scales used in the study; 'Personal Data Form' is 'Treatment Motivation Survey', 'Neuropsychological Test Battery'. Literature screening was first conducted in the study. The data given with the help of scales was then transferred to the SPSS 25.0 version to achieve the findings, and the rest was completed with the SPSS package program. As a result of the analysis; According to the control group of the diagnosed group, it was found that the working memory was impaired, and there were distortions in learning, coding, transferring information and retriement. Significant differences were found between the lower scales of the treatment motivation survey and some of the lower scales of demographic information. The findings obtained within the scope of the study have an important role in contributing to future research on the examination of treatment motivation and memory functions in those diagnosed with alcohol use disorder.
