He relationship between the space depth and window opening in amasya traditional houses

The main aim of the study is to evaluate the relationship between spatial depth and window opening in the traditional houses of Amasya according to TSE and CIE standards in terms of natural lighting. Also, it is aimed to reveal whether environmental factors which are important parameters in design are discussed. In the first part of the study, information about the factors affecting the design of the housing and the requirements of the user are summarized and briefly, information about the content of the study is given. In the resource summaries section, national and international literary studies on factors affecting design, user requirements, natural lighting and related standards were examined. In addition, the studies carried out for Amasya Traditional Houses were also evaluated. In the third part of the study, conceptual framework and information on the study area under the heading Material and Method were collected. In the conceptual framework, the concept of housing, the factors affecting the design of the house, natural lighting, the parameters that are effective in natural lighting and related standards are given information. Then, natural lighting was discussed in the traditional housing. The relationship between spatial depth and window openness of Amasya Traditional Houses, which constitute the main theme of the thesis, has been evaluated according to environmental factors. In the Findings and Evaluation section, the findings of the parameters that affect the design of the spatial depth and window opening of 60 protected from 154 registered houses in Amasya Hatuniye Neighbourhood were revealed. These data were analysed in SPSS IBM Windows program and it was determined that the natural lighting of the houses was compatible with CIE and TSE standards according to environmental factors. In the conclusions and recommendations section, the design parameters that appear in the study area and the suggestions of the housing designs to be made in the framework of CIE and TSE standards have been made.
