Typological investigation of Anatolian tumuli

The first Anatolian examples of tumuli emerged in Eastern Thrace. The earliest examples of the region dated to the Early Phrygian period. But the most magnificent Phrygian Tumuli were made in Phrygia. After Phrygian period Lydian, Greco-Persian, Hellenistic periods followed. Aegean Region with its well-known examples of tumuli spread to seven provinces in Anatolia and the Mediterranean region, although we have come across hundreds of tumuli in our other regions, particularly in Central Anatolia has not yet been even formally documented. Tumuli are also among the least researched by showing care and most destroyed findings and therefore such findings are stepchildren of Anatolian archeology. Turning the opened main soil pit to the grave room was the characteristic feature of the Anatolian tumuli. Lydia followed chronologically the Phrygian Necropolis. Lydia Tumuli have the stone burial chamber. This culture in order to further process; followed by the Greco-Persian and Hellenistic Tumulus. Greco-Persian and Hellenistic Necropolis in part by cultural differences, but similar to Lydia Tumuli they host themselves. Our goal in this study; For many years in Central Anatolia, and most neglected aspect it was looted by treasure hunters as a result of illegal excavations or have worked in the museum, which is cursory attention to these tumuli. Typology Most of these tumuli, artifacts, tombs and dated if they are unknown. Our goal is where these tumuli in the tumuli familiar in the world of archeology?
