Anselm Kiefer; form and content's resources of his art

The main idea of the thesis is to introduce Anselm Kiefer who is one of the most important name of contemporary art world and to analyse his art's exclusive themes and materials. To explain clearly the origins of the themes, some important memories of Kiefer and some historical knowledge about his identity has been added to the research. His way of using different materials, images, symbols while expressing these themes has also been a title in the thesis. First part of the research has the early works of the artist which has inspirations from his childhood and war time memories of his country. And it continues with Kiefer's maturity works. At the second chapter historical themes and nordic myths has been defined with the images of related works. The third also the last chapter of the thesis focuses on his contemporary works and mistic themes on them. It concludes by analyzing his way of using materials on these works and his work spaces where works on them. Key Words: Nordic Myths, Kabballah, Alchemy, Lead, Contemporary Art.
