Abstract (EN)
This master thesis "Conflict of Human-Wild Boar (Sus Scrofa) in the villages located in the boundaries of Ardıçdağı Forest Management Directorate in Korkuteli District of Antalya Province" was carried out at Isparta University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Forestry, Department of Wildlife Ecology and Management. The field studies were carried out in 2017 - 2018 and around Güzle Village, which is located within the boundaries of Ardıçdağı Forest Management Directorate in Korkuteli district of Antalya province. In this study, data about human-wild boar conflict were obtained by questionnaire-interview technique and traces-signs presence-Absence scanning method. In the questionnaire-interviews were reached the local people experiences, views, violations and harms of the wild boar and the results for the solution of the problems. Trace-signs Presence-Absence scanning method was used to obtain information about wild boar's forest and agricultural habitat usage frequencies.According to the results, it was found that wild boars used agricultural areas as much as 44% in the summer and autumn period between March and November and mostly damaged the vegetable, fruit and crop fields during this period. It was found that local people trust the Hunter Associations (74%) who play an active role in wild boar hunting in preventing wild boar damages. The institutions of the General Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, which are responsible for the main protection and control, should be more careful in the wildlife conservation activities, establish better relations with the local people and cooperate with the local people at every stage of the solution of the problems occurring in the wildlife, take the necessary measures and It has been once again clearly seen in this thesis that the public needs to produce long-term and clear solutions to this important problem.
