Life table of Aphis craccivora Koch. (Hemiptera: Aphididae) on different faba bean varieties at the laboratory conditions

In this study, some biological parameters of Aphis craccivora Koch (Hemiptera: Aphididae) on Eresen 98, Filiz, Salkım and Sakız faba bean varieties in cultivars were evaulated. For this purpose, the effects of the varieties to the Nymphal development time, preoviposition, oviposition and postoviposition period, longevity and reproduction of Aphis craccivora have been investigated. Experiments have been studied in air conditioned cabinets with 25 ± 1 ºC, 70 ± 5 % relative humidity and 16 h light 8 h dark constant conditions. Evaluations introduce that A. craccivora completed development process in the shortest time on 5.26 with a day of Salkım. This development process continued on 6.00 day of Sakız and 6.30 day of Eresen 98 and 6.64 day of Filiz respectively. A.craccivora completed oviposition period in the shortest time on sakız with 5.22 days. This oviposition period on Eresen 98 5.34 days and was Salkım and Filiz 5.52 and 6.50 days, respectively. While the longest longevity was viewed as 11.46 days on Filiz the highest number of offspring was determined as 21.71 individuals in the same variety. The highest intrinsic rate of increase (rm) (0.278556 aphid/ aphid/day) was calculated on Filiz. The intrinsic rate of increase on Sakız, Salkım and Eresen 98 was 0.249105, 0.247229, ve 0.218653 aphid/aphid/day, respectively.
