Abstract (EN)
In this study, the effect of R&D expenditures on unemployment was examined based on the 1990-2019 periods. The effect of Turkey's R&D expenditures on unemployment between the years 1990-2019 was tested with Granger causality analysis and impulse response analysis. The effect of Reseaerch&Development expenditures on unemployment was examined by adding the gross domestic product as an independent variable to the established model, based on the data for the years 1990-2019 in Turkey. As a result of the impact analysis, it has been determined that Reseaerch&Development expenditures affect unemployment and as a result of Granger causality analysis, Reseaerch&Development expenditures are the cause of unemployment.
