According to archaeological findings, the clothing culture during the Asian Hun State

One of the differences between man and other natures on the earth is clothing. In order to dress, first, the raw material that makes up the body of the outfit isneeded. Undoubtedly, these materials have emerged again with human hand skills. Prehistoric people used the hides and furs of wild animals they hunted to protect themselves from the conditions of nature. Covering themselves became dressing over some time. With the progress of history, the emergence of different civilizations and the development of cultures have increased the variety of clothing. Thus, each culture got its own unique fashion. The political history of the Asian Hun State, its neighborly relations and the geographical conditions of the period are mentioned, and information about the clothing of the Asian Huns is given, in the study. Information about the Huns is obtained from Chinese sources. However, the transfer of clothing culture has been limited to a single written source. The most valuable resource reflecting the period and dressing styles of the Huns is undoubtedly kurgans. When the textile remains and accessory pieces discovered in the kurgans are examined, Steppe fashion and Hun style of the first millennium BC emerges. In the study, it is mentioned in which regions and by whom the Hun kurgans were discovered. Information is given about the variety of fabrics from the kurgans, the materials and metals that make up the accessories. In addition to the Hun kurgans, there is information about the crowns discovered in different kurgans. The reflections of the Hun fashion on the clothes of the later Turkish states (Gok-Turk, Karahanli, Seljuk and Ottoman) were mentioned. Moreover, information was given about the military clothes of the Huns, who had an enormous army organization, and the influence of the Hun fashion on China. It is thought that the clothing items which were discovered from the Kurgans made the basis of the clothing style of Central Asia. Also, it is thought that the habit of wearing "börk" (head scarf, cap), which is seen in the Turkish states established in the post-Islamic period, and which gradually develops, dates back to the Hun period. Various trousers worn by the Huns are thought to be a steppe invention. It is thought that the Huns were the first to use trousers, which are a part of suits today, for the first time in history.
