Abstract (EN)

This study was aimed to determine the effects of different doses of gamma radiation (200, 300, 400 ve 500 Gy) on some agricultural and quality properties of M2 generation applied to seeds of Tarm-92 two-row barley varieties. The study was carried out in the Agricultural Training and Research Center experimental areas and Field Crops Laboratories of Isparta University of Applied Sciences in vegetation season 2016-2017. It was investigated that the effects of plant height, spike length, number of grain per spike, weight of grain per spike, thousand grain weight, test weight, husk and protein ratio in the experiment. According to the obtained data, plant height in the control of the of 72.10 cm, M2 generation ranged from between 55.19-70.22 cm; spike length in the control 8.71 cm, M2 generation ranged from between 7.43-9.13 cm; number of grain in spike in the control 23.49, M2 generation ranged from between 20.36-23.42; weight of grain per spike in control 2.73 g, M2 generation ranged from between 1.25-2.46 g, thousand grain weight in control 58.54 g, M2 generation ranged from between 36.51-50.12 g; test weight in control 68.25 kg, M2 generation ranged from between 46.29-68.19 kg; husk ratio in control 9.15%, M2 generation ranged from between 9.63-15.40% protein ratio in control 13.99%, M2 generation ranged from between to 15.07-17.55%. While plant height, number of grain per spike, weight of grain per spike, thousand grain weight and weight of test were generally reduced, spike length, husk and protein ratio were increase to control group by gamma radiation compared. As a result of the research; further variations were observed in terms of the examined properties in the 300 and 400 Gy applications. In each group, selection in the desired direction of spike samples was made and M3 generation was generated will sow in spike-rows.
