Detection of verbals in writer Aslı Der's book "Kayıp Rüyacı" and evaluation them in terms of Turkish teaching

The verbals, which have an important place among grammar issues, are among the issues that students have difficulty in understanding. Firstly, it is important to teach the verbs, which are among the 8th grade gains of secondary school, without memorization. As a matter of the fact, the teaching of verbals with reading activities contributes to permanent learning. In addition, the provision of verbs by intuition method is compatible with the 2018 Turkish Curriculum. In this study, it is aimed to identify the verbals in Aslı Der's ''Kayıp Rüyacı'' and to evaluate them in terms of Turkish teaching. Qualitative research methods were used in the research. In this context, the concept of verbals were defined primarily and information about the types and annexes of verbs were given. Later, the sentences in the work ''Kayıp Rüyacı'' were examined one by one, and the verbal groups in these sentences were identified. As a result of the findings obtained in the study, it was seen that 2,802 verbals were used in ''Kayıp Rüyacı'' In addition, it was concluded that the verbals, adjective verbals, and adverb verbals in the work are proportional, and therefore the work is appropriate for the teaching of verbals.
