Abstract (EN)

Among the weft backed fabrics that are frequently used in today's fashion and maintain their popularity, it is aimed to obtain clothing fabric for seasonal outerwear, which has a high comfort, good performance, and lower cost compared to the lined clothes produced from single-layer fabrics. This situation is expected to bring advantages in accordance with a versatile usage purpose. In this study, weft backed fabrics were woven with weft yarns that are synthetic on one side and cellulose-based on the other, protein-based and have a certain mixing ratio. Within the scope of the study, polyester yarn is used in the polyester warp and polyester yarn from the weft in the bottom layer fabric, so that the bottom layer is completely polyester woven. By using viscose, tencel, bamboo, cotton, acrylic-cotton blend, acrylic (high bulk), acrylic-viscose blend, wool-acrylic blend and wool yarn in the weft of the top layer fabric, it has been ensured that the specified yarns dominate the top layer fabric. Emerising was applied to half of the fabrics produced in 3 different weft densities. Weft densities, weft yarn types and the emerising process applied to the fabrics are the factors that vary in weft backed woven fabrics. Within the scope of the study, yarn tests, fabric density, weight, thickness, air permeability, breaking strength, water vapor permeability, moisture management, thermal properties and pilling were measured. The results were analyzed and interpreted with the statistical analysis method. When the results obtained from the study are evaluated, it is seen that the values of emery, weft density and weft yarn type have a significant effect on the measured values of weft backed woven fabrics.
