Abstract (EN)

Technological inventions and innovations started with industrial revolution making human life easier have also brought ?consumption culture? which means consuming crazily along with. This crazy consumption has brought up issue of ?waste? to the agenda naturally; the waste difficult to compete with has both spoilt the structure of the nature and caused a visual pollution. Nature has always been source of inspiration, starting point for not only technology but also art, but art has never done something to destroy the nature.Nature in the history of art has been dealt from different point of view as each period has had own point of view, conception and own realities. Nature as ground for figure in Renaissance reached significance with Baroque and has been an important part of modern-day art and entered to the art with the artificial-natural arrangements as Land Art. In this study, it has been started out with the nature, and tried to display the situation of the nature today, its visual pollution in a reality of a narrow frame of a photograph. These pictures of the nature in terms of plastics and being discussed in this thesis have been a composition with full of the waste rather than the pictures showing beautiful scenes of the nature so far. In this sense, the nature has been approached with a different point of view than most of artists did before and it has been expressed coldly, dirtily and depressingly as a language of the nature polluted. Keywords: waste, nature, consumption society
