Abstract (EN)

This research was carried out in order to determine opinions of teachers and administrators on European Union Education and Youth projects. The universe of the research consists of teachers and administrators who are employed in Kahramanmaras province, and who had been involved in European Union Education and Youth projects in 2005-2009. The universe of the study was aimed to be fully included in the research. The basic data collection tool of this research is the questionnaire which is prepared to determine outlook of teachers and administrators on European Union Education and Youth Programmes. The tools used for data analysis were percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation and t-test. The analysis of the data indicates that European Union Education and Youth Programmes contribute to professional and personal development of beneficiaries, and the to development of educational system and intercultural relationships. The beneficiaries pointed out that European Union Education and Youth Programmes facilitates and promotes foreign language learning; they have got a universal attribution, and they combat with discrimination. The beneficiaries also remarked that they do not regard the programmes as a threat for our national culture.Keywords: European Union Education and Youth Programmes, Lifelong Learning Programme, Comenius, Grundtvig, Leonardo da Vinci, Youth.
