Determination of the species belonging to diaspididae family (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha) harmful on ornemantal plants and parks in Aydın province

In this research conducted the armored scale insect being harmful on parks and ornamental plants in Aydın province and its around between 2016-2019 years. The samples was took on parks of manucipality, way edges, house gardens, picnic areas, groves, school gardens, cemeteries, botanical parks, university campus, animal zoo and were made their preparations in laboratuary, identified and taken photos. As a results of identification, 9 species were determined belonging to Diaspididae family. Aonidia lauri (Bouché) was found on Laurus nobilis, Aonidiella aurantii (Maskell) was found on Hedera helix and Rosa sp., Chionaspis salicis (Linnaeus) was found on Populus sp., Comstockaspis perniciosa (Comstock) was found on Ceratonia siliqua, Lepidosaphes ulmi (Linnaeus) was found on Nerium oleander, Rubus sp., Viola sp. and Rosa sp., Leucaspis pini (Hartig) was found on Pinus sp., Parlatoria oleae (Colvée) was found on Rosa sp., Pseudalaucaspis pentagona (Targioni Tozzetti) was found on Catalpa bignonioides, Unaspis euonymi (Comstock) was found on Euonymus japonicus.
