Abstract (EN)

Intercession is considered as intermediary for the prophets and other good servants, forgiving Muslims who have major sins, for their sins to be forgiven and for them to enter Paradise, within the framework of Allah's permission and consent. Belief in intercession is one of the issues that has taken place among people in various ways throughout history. The belief in intercession, which exists in the belief structures of Judaism and Christianity, has been effective in shaping the belief structure of many human religions, especially the ignorance society. The religion of Islam, which aims to eliminate the false beliefs and behaviors that exist among people, has also eliminated the existing false beliefs about intercession and revealed the belief in true intercession. In this direction, it is emphasized in many places in the Qur'an that intercession belongs to Allah and that no one can intercede without His permission. At the same time, it has been reported that some distinguished people, whom Allah has permitted, can intercede for those whom He is pleased with and allows to be interceded with. In hadiths, intercession is a subject that is handled in more detail. In the hadiths in question, the boundaries of belief in intercession are drawn and it informs that intercession will take place under certain conditions.Belief in intercession is one of the controversial issues among Islamic sects. This conflict is still relevant today. In particular, the views of the Maturidi and Ash'ari sects of the Ahl as- sunna school on the subject have been put forward objectively. The issues on which the said sects agree and disagree in their views on intercession have been determined from their own sources. The sects of Ash'arism and Maturidism agreed that intercession would be, however, it is seen that there are different opinions about who the intercession will be for and how it will be. According to Ash'ari and Maturidi sects, intercession is especially valid for believers who commit major sins. As a result, the opinions of the two major sects of Ahl-sunnat on intercession were determined together with their evidences, the basis on which they built their views on intercession and the points where their opinions differed were determined and evaluated comparatively.
