Abstract (EN)

In this research, it is aimed to determine what are the foods and beverages in Paradise and Hell in Qur'an and their nature. For this purpose, to reveal the relationship between these foods and beverages in terms of reward and punishment, to reveal how the verses in which food and beverages are mentioned in different exegesis and to reveal what people in Paradise and Hell can encounter. in this study, the concepts of Heaven and Hell in Islamic religion are emphasized. In the light of the verses, what Heaven and Hell means and what kind of a place is explained in various aspects. Afterwards, the verses in which Heaven and Hell pass through food and drink were determined and how it was explained to these verses with various exegesis. In these verses, hadith sources have been used when necessary. In the Quran as the food of Paradise; pomegranate, grape, cherry, banana, date palm as meat, bird meat and fruit; water, milk, honey and beverage rivers and selsebil, camphor and tensim springs are mentioned as paradise drinks. Oleander, Dari tree and Gislîn are mentioned as food in the Hell. Hell drinks are mentioned as Hamim, Gassak and Sadid beverages. As a result the presence of the Paradise and Hell's food and drink is absolute, as this is fixed by the verses of the Qur'an. However, it does not seem possible to say the final word about their nature because of the fact that they belong to the realm of the unknown world and the limitations of the language. Seeing the interpretations on these concepts as a wealth of the cultural worlds, not as a matter of faith, can help develop a unifying and embracing understanding rather than a tekfirist faith.
