Abstract Ayşe Sarısayın's Life, Art and Stories Esra Seferoğlu Dayan Sarısayın is the daughter of master poet Behçet Necatigil. She is a chemical engineer, translator and writer. She tells about Necatigil in the her first book, Çok Şey Yarım Hâlâ. Later, with the guidance of important names and the support of her environment, she produces works in the genre of stories. The author, who grew up with an educated mother and father, tells the struggle of women to have a place in the patriarchal social order in her stories because she came from a family where the concepts of equality and justice were taught through behavior. She criticizes the patriarchal society structure. It gives a philosophical perspective to the reader by handling the individual's adventure of existence with the childhood period. By creating many of the story characters from women, she invites the reader to think about gender roles. She takes her place in our literature with the stories she wrote in this direction, the children's books she wrote with the influence of her childhood, where she grew up with fairy tales, and with their translations. This thesis prepared gives information about Ayşe Sarısayın's life, art and works. The information given on her art and analysis is limited to the author's works in the genre of stories.
